Introducing Content Manager: Smarter Search and Content Control for Confluence

Previously part of Capable’s all-in-one suite, this tool is now available on its own, giving teams more flexibility to enhance Confluence however they choose.

Confluence is one of the most widely used tools for team collaboration and documentation but when it comes to managing and searching content at scale, it has its limitations. We built Content Manager because we experienced this friction ourselves. Now, the power of our search and content governance tools is available in a lightweight, standalone version, perfect for teams of all sizes.

Confluence Search Is Basic And Teams Deserve Better

We’ve heard it again and again from users: Confluence’s native search simply doesn’t cut it when you’re working across a large content base.

It lacks essential functionality like being able to:

  • See if a page contains images, diagrams, markdown, or tables without opening it
  • Reuse or save common filters
  • Share search configurations across your team

And even simple things, like filtering by creation date—are missing. Want to rename or change the status of a page directly from search results? You’re out of luck.

In short, managing a growing Confluence workspace becomes a time-consuming hassle.

Now You Can Treat Confluence Like a Filesystem or Jira Board

That’s where Content Manager comes in. We’ve rebuilt the Confluence search and content management experience from the ground up. Content Manager gives you:

  • Advanced filters (by user, status, date, label, space, type, and more)
  • Variable columns so you can decide exactly what data to display
  • Full CQL (Confluence Query Language) support for granular control
